Any Philly steak lovers in the house?! Honestly I’m still in search of one that blows my socks off.. Jim’s is pretty good and seems to be a local favorite but there’s not a lot of weight to it and something in the flavor is missing. 🧐
Life has been an absolute whirlwind lately! For much of last year, I was spiraling, completely uncertain where life was headed. Interestingly, after retiring, I realized I wasn’t drawn to opening my own academy like I thought I would be. I found myself going against everything i knew in my heart I was supposed to be doing.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am incredibly stubborn—honestly, the most stubborn person out there, and nobody can tell me otherwise! 😂 I tend to learn things the hard way (I’m fully aware and I’m working on it, trust me!).
One day, I decided to start saying "yes" to not just the things that brought me joy but also to opportunities that could push me to the next level. Instead of declining out of a fear of success, I embraced it. As soon as I did, my life began to unfold in beautiful ways, allowing me to smoothly transition into the next chapter.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned from all this is that fear will always be there, but you have to do things even if you're afraid, or you risk staying in the same spot—which was no longer an option for me. I refused to waste another year not moving towards my goals and dreams. The journey is never linear, and often we find something greater than we could have imagined for ourselves, simply because we decided to take action.
I heard a quote recently that said, “When you feel overwhelmed, remember that it’s just one more step, many times.” It really helped me keep things in perspective when I felt like I just couldn’t anymore...
What keeps me on track in those times? I ask myself, if I knew I was going to die in three months, what would I do? And then I go do it.
