On Saturday, I wandered walls through park, wrapped in a cozy scarf, watching the river under a cloudy sky. It felt so peaceful and quiet.

But on Sunday? Total stay-in vibes. 🛁 I baked cookies (ate way too much dough 🍪), lit candles, and sank into a warm lavender bath.

If someone had told me two years ago that one day I’d be sitting on a bench in Belgrade with a cup of hot cocoa in my hands, feeling its warmth against my palms and smiling at the thought of how extraordinary life is, I would’ve just smirked🤔 Back then, I believed that the future meant becoming a new, improved version of myself: stronger, more confident, perfectly polished. But Belgrade, like an old friend with a knowing smirk, gently hinted that sometimes the most important thing is to slow down and simply be😉

Its streets, like pages of a book without a table of contents, kept turning me around. How many times did I find myself at the same crossroads, where everything felt both familiar and new? And each time, it seemed as if the city whispered, “Take your time. Everything will fall into place when it’s meant to.”

My English, that anchor of confidence, often dissolved in conversations. Suddenly, someone would ask, “Have you tried rakija?”—a question that felt like a key to something much deeper. Rakija turned out to be more than just a drink. It was like taking the first sip of a new life: a little bitter, fiery, but leaving behind a warm glow within😇

Then came the job interview😱 Armed with carefully rehearsed phrases, I heard words that unlocked something forgotten inside me: “Just be yourself.” That simple truth, like a ray of sunlight, illuminated everything I had been hiding for so long. And in that moment, I understood: my imperfections weren’t weaknesses—they were the very things that made me real.

From that point on, mistakes became my companions😊 They showed me the way back to myself. In Skadarlija, amidst the sounds of a street musician’s guitar, I heard a melody that seemed to speak directly to me: You don’t need to conquer life; you need to embrace it—every jagged edge, every unexpected turn😳

And now here I am. On this bench, with a cup of cocoa. I look at the world and smile, knowing that I don’t need to be “new.” There’s only me—exactly as I am. And that is enough. That is beautiful 🤗🥰
