Lets SLAP this workout! Quick workouts Lately my days have been so busy I haven't been able to get to the gym and get a proper workout. Here are 3 things I like to have in these "quick" workouts of mine. I'll always start with a stretch. If you have the time to foam roll and do a proper stretch than great, rub it in. But stretch, your body will thank you. Second, I always like implementing some sort of "power" exercise. What's a power exercise? Think explosion. This are normally exercise that require the body to explode on the contraction. Most common exercises I use are squatting and dead-lifting. Don't know how to squat or dead lift? Then don't! Learn the movement before performing it. There are ways on how to modify or adapt a squat or DL (deadlift) to your physical knowledge so stick around and I'll be sure to post a couple of videos in the next few days giving you tips so you wont hurt yourself. And last, dear god do some cardio! "Oh but I don't like cardio" tough luck. News flash, your heart is a muscle and the way you workout that muscle is through cardio or HIIT (high intensity interval training). This could be as simple as a quick jog around your block, living room or in my case jumping rope.
